Who can earn badges?
Anyone! While our idea started for lesbians, Sapphic Scouts ™ is for any wlw or nmlnm. While we are focused on wlw/nmlnm at the moment, we do have plans to include badges unique to each of our LGBT families.
I have a badge idea!
Awesome! Send your ideas to sapphicscouts@gmail.com. We love hearing about your ideas and want the community to get involved. If we end up creating a badge based on your idea, we will give you credit as the creator of the idea.
Isn’t this perpetuating hurtful stereotypes?
Sapphic Scouts ™ is meant to be fun. The wlw/nmlnm community is brought together by a number of things like common interests, shared heartache, and a love for Hayley Kiyoko. This is not meant to be harmful to anyone and if you are upset by one of our badges, we truly apologize. Please reach out if you have concerns or feel a badge is harmful to the community
What other badges will be released?
We have so many more badges coming. We will be bringing you hobbies, sports, family, 18+, and more!
What if I want different badges from different packs?
We sell each badge as an individual. We also have a “create your own” option. Pick any 5 badges from any pack to create a set as unique as you
How do I earn a badge?
Each badge has a suggested way of earning it but they are merely there as a starting point. If you feel you’ve earned the badge, you have! Being queer can be tough - celebrate your accomplishments
Why don’t you have actual patches?
When deciding what products to offer, we did discuss investing in actual patches. Stickers and enamel pins made more sense to start with. We are hoping to offer patches in the future as well as sashes, jean jackets, and more.
Why “sapphic” and not lesbian?
While Sam and LeAnne are both lesbians, we wanted this to include all of our wlw and nmlnm family members. Sapphic simply means wlw or nmlnm.
